UWO Rhodes Presentation
Good Afternoon, Thank you very much for coming. My name is Alyson Bateman and I am the University Costing and Pricing Accountant and this is Professor Bernard Silverman Professor of Statistics and consultant to the TRAC project since 2005. Today we intend to explain the purpose of the Academic Activity Survey, discuss the emerging results and answer any of your questions. The Academic Activity Survey is a key element of the Oxford costing strategy and a requirement of those who fund the University, such as, HEFCE and the Research Councils. The survey provides a unique insight into how the academic body actually operate. This information is useful not only for costing purposes but also for planning and informing University and national strategy. It is vital, given the importance of the emergent data, that we achieve the highest response rate possible. We would appreciate it if you would hold any questions back until the end of this short presentation when there will be plenty of time to discuss TRAc and answer any questions. Brian Coulter
