Solvency: Harm 1: Same-sex marriages will be granted the same benefits as heterosexual marriages. These families will be able to gain health insurance benefits along with social security and any other benefits of heterosexual marriages These families will also be able to use the money they are saving from joint benefits for their children. Harm 2: Legalizing gay marriage will help economic debt. Instead of wasting money on state benefit programs and single person taxes, same-sex marriage would bring in money by stopping the programs and by paying higher taxes as a married couple Harm 3: Can make having a family possible for same-sex couples and children without a home. If same-sex marriages were legal in every state, then every homosexual couple would have a higher chance of adoption because then the child would be in a two parent household instead of a one parent. This would give more opportunity to the children without homes to gain two parents.
