13 Printing  Printers are part of the Pharos system. –All students allocated $100 worth of printing credits. –The charge for printing (10 cents a side) will be deducted from your allocation. –When your allocation is exhausted, you may purchase more credits from the OIT.

Replaces print products from Moody's (Mergent): Bank and Finance Manual, Transportation Manual, International Manual, Public Utility Manual, OTC Unlisted Manual, OTC manual. 28 FAQ 1  Why is there only 1 Bloomberg? –COST, MONEY, DOLLARS. The Bloomberg stations cost $612/month for ONE workstation –SEE: “But Bloomberg won't budge on pricing” (THE BLOOMBERG MACHINE: If he runs for mayor of New York, what happens to his empire?, Tom Lowry, 04/23/2001, Business Week p.76  Why can’t I download from Bloomberg? –Because Mike discourages it. –It would cost us $1700 per month, per workstation.

29 FAQ 2  How come the Libraries doesn’t have a subscription to the electronic version of (insert favorite journal’s name here)? –Usually no individual subscriptions to electronic business journals.

32 FAQ 4  What is the password for Factiva? –No individual passwords –Logging onto the campus network validates as authorized user –Prompted for a password? Go back to the Libraries’ Electronic Resource Web page and re-launch the product.

33 FAQ 5  Can I get these databases and resources from off campus, in my office, or elsewhere?

34 FAQ 5 - continued  Yes! –Computer cluster or branch library logon is like the BIC –Campus housing has a direct connection to the campus network –Off-campus and dialing into the OIT modem pool connects directly to the network.
