Copyright Reserved GreenTech Malaysia PROJECT: GREEN PROCUREMENT REPORTING PERIOD: 01/10/2013 – 31/10/2013 1 Project Brief/Summary Green procurement is the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services that are less environmentally damaging than comparable alternatives. Therefore, the project is focusing on these strategic initiatives for sustainable outcomes :- Promotion activities, public awareness and knowledge Capacity building including Training of Trainers Guidance and advice Development of guidelines, procedures and manuals Research and study Process Owner : Ministry of Finance Project Partners : KeTTHA, EPU and SCP Consultants Objectives To establish institutional framework for Green Procurement implementation. To enhance competency and awareness of relevant stakeholders To implement Government Green Procurement (GGP)/ Green Private Purchasing (GpP) in Malaysia by Year 2015 Project Fund: RM 436,800.00 Duration: 01/01/2013 – 31/12/2013 Expected Outcomes To establish a National GGP Steering Committee by 31 Aug 2013 To organize 5 events of seminar, workshop, conference or exhibition by 31 Dec 2013 To develop one training module for procurement officers by 31 Dec 2013 To identify and select 2 pilot projects for GGP/GpP by 31 Dec 2013 Status 5 Sub Working groups had been established to support GGP demo. Organized the series of PDRM Blueprint Workshop. Life Cycle Costing will organize 2 days seminar in Oct 2013 ASEAN+3; Korea GPP Benchmarking PDRM GGP as part of Blueprint and TNB Green Procurement policy are in progress.

Copyright Reserved GreenTech Malaysia PROJECT: GREEN PROCUREMENT REPORTING PERIOD: 01/10/2013 – 31/10/2013 2 Activities Completed (During reporting period) Organized workshop in developing PDRM Training Module ‘Amalan Hijau & Aplikasi Teknologi Hijau’ including GGP Pilot Project in Holiday Inn, Melaka on 22th – 25 th October 2013 Co organized (with EPU) Life Cycle Costing (LCC) workshop at Marriot Hotel on 8th and 9th October 2013 Participated in SCP Core Team meeting and CEPA working group meeting. Participated in SCP Indicator workshop in Marriot Hotel Putrajaya which GGP is SCP core sector. Participated in IGEM in promoting the projects and also organized the Business Opportunity Forum on 7 th October in Mandarin Oriental Hotel, KL % completed: GGP Steering Committee (100%) 5 events (100%) Training module (40%) GGP/GpP 2 pilot projects (35%) % funds utilised: % (yet to get from Finance) Activities Planned (For next reporting period) To organize a workshop in finalising the PDRM Training Module ‘Amalan Hijau & Aplikasi Teknologi Hijau’ on third week of November 2013. To conduct Green Procurement workshop with TNB on at ILSAS To organize a seminar on GGP (PDRM) in KL on second week of November 2013. To organize a seminar on GGP (PDRM) in JB on fourth week of November 2013. To conduct the sub working group of GGP meeting for two areas; 1. Product Selection 2. Life Cycle Costing
