Everyday worship is about our perspective & living a God-centered life We are often less intentional than we should be about ensuring God is at this center We talked about everyday worship in three settings: Our communities Our places of work In chance-encounter opportunities
5
Last week we talked about how we do worship in these three settings, today we want to talk about why this everyday worship is so critical Francis’ message Go and reach people Too often we say and/or do nothing Pray for boldness Rob’s message Few speak for many, creating a negative perception Christians must show love to change these perceptions
6
Everyday worship is central to growing God’s kingdom Demonstrating the love of Christ is the most powerful evangelical tool we have! We shouldn’t rely on “the church” to be the magnet for new Christians – we must be the magnets Think about it, do we lead our Christianity sales pitch by talking about our corporate worship service? Regardless of how attractive our congregation or auditorium or denomination is – our God is infinitely more so
9
Being inspired comes from intentionally creating God- connected experiences in our personal, family, and everyday worship As we become more inspired through worship, we will also become more motivated to worship Inspired and motivated people come to corporate worship with their buckets already full, rather than simply to be filled
10
We’ll dive into corporate worship (or, at least Kevin will…) Dave will send pictures & would appreciate prayers for safe travels! Resources are online! Feedback and discussion welcomed! kevinb@cordovachurch.com daved@cordovachurch.com
