PSAT is a standardized test that gives you a chance to enter NMSC scholarship programs and gain access to college and career planning tools. The PSAT/NMSQT measures: Critical reading skills Math problem-solving skills Writing skills The most common reasons for taking the PSAT/NMSQT are to: Receive feedback on your strengths and weaknesses on skills necessary for college study. See how your performance on an admissions test might compare with others applying to college. Help prepare for the SAT.

10th Grade PSAT Test is in October. Attendance on this important “practice” SAT test day is very important. ALL Killough 9 th grade students will take a practice PSAT test this spring.

What It Is This will be a one hour “block” of time Monday – Friday. Monday will be lunch and advisory as is currently scheduled. Students’ choices Tuesday – Friday are: lunch (everyday) tutorials personal campus business clubs/organizations/interest groups Communication and real world opportunities Rationale Involved students do better academically. Involved students don’t have time for less desirable activities. Involved students take more pride/ownership in their school. Teacher-student relationships improve & enhance school climate/culture.
