4. Road cycling The oldest and the most traditional variety of the cycling consists in racing on road bicycles along ordinary roads. This sport is still very popular in the world.

5. Cyclo-cross Type of the biking which uses bicycles similar to those ones used in road cycling. Cyclo – cross is quite difficult since it contains numerous obstacles on its course which force the rider to dismount from a bicycle, and to carry his bicycle through the obstacle.

6. Track Cycling This type of cycling uses bikes which construction is similiar to that used in road cycling bicycles, but which is more simplified. Track cycling is usually held on specially – built banked tracks or velodromes, where the track banking is relatively shallow.

7. Mountain cycling Form of the biking which uses mountain bikes. Their construction and frame enable moving in the difficult terrain.

8. Downhill mountain biking Downhill biking is a gravity-assisted time trial mountain biking event. These particular races are held on steep, downhill terrain with no extended climbing sections, resulting in high speed descents with extended air time off jumps and other obstacles. They can be held in different terrain, also in urban areas.
