3.  Food Chain: The progression in which animals eat or are eaten.  The bottom of the food chain, or lowest organism, is a plant. 7.  Using the book the teacher read earlier, Rabbit Surprise, and your own prior knowledge we will create a food chain.  Flip through the pages of the book with your partner. Observe what the rabbits are doing/eating throughout the story. What did you find?  In your notebook, connect the following animals in a correctly ordered food chain: Fox, Carrot, Sun, Rabbit

9.  You will need: Construction paper, glue, scissors, markers, computer and a printer (optional)  Choose any animal to begin. You will then research the animal to find out what it eats, and what eats it.  You will need to either print out pictures of each animal, or organism, you want within your food chain or know how to draw it.  You will glue or draw pictures on the construction paper linking the living things in the correct order to make a food chain like we did on the previous slide.  You must have a minimum of 5 living organisms! …So if you can’t find 4 connections to the first animal you choose, PICK ANOTHER!
