2 2X+5=15 or 5X-54=130 How would you solve the following two equations? What would be the recommended strategy to find out the answer?

3 The answer is simple….REMEMBER BALANCE AND DO THE EQUATION BACKWARDS!

4 For example, since 2X + 5= 15, to find 2X, you should first subtract 5 IN BOTH SIDES of the equation, in order to keep the balance going. This will leave you with 2X=10.

5 Now with 2x=10, continue with the reverse operation and divide 2 to both sides, and thus, the answer is X=5! See how easy algebra can be with that strategy?
