17. Face the Speaker Looking at the speaker is important to see how they are feeling and to read their social cues. It also shows respect to the speaker. Facing the speaker demonstrates that you are paying attention.

20. Clarifying Questions Clarifying Questions help to fully understand what the person is saying. Asking these questions will help you to understand how they feel about what they are talking about.
