HISTORY IMFN is a Non Profit Organization, formed in 2009 by a group of Islamic Microfinance Institutions, dedicated for the development and promotion of the Islamic Microfinance Industry through Innovation, Shariah Compliance Product Development, Institutional Capacity Building, Donor Linkages & Up scaling of Islamic Microfinance Institutions. The Network focuses on Public & Institutional Awareness of the Islamic Financial Systems

Practitioners National & International Operators of Islamic Microfinance with strong commitment to Islamic Microfinance Systems Has been able to develop Islamic Microfinance Products through consultation of Recognized Shairah Board Must clearly declare the Islamic Microfinance System as part of their Mission Statement Has been Practicing Islamic Microfinance for the Past One Year Share the Mission and Objectives of IMFN Institutions must be under Legal Structure of their respective Country Be ready to Share experiences & Data with IMFN

Academia Scholars working for the development of Islamic Financial Systems Institutions offering Islamic Financial Systems as part of their curricula and/or research on Islamic Financial Systems Institutions providing training in Islamic Finance

Advisors Religious Scholars and Ulema dedicated for the promotion of Islamic Financial System Must have working experience in Islamic Financial Institutions Advisory Firms working for the development of Islamic Financial Systems

Takaful & Islamic Insurance Companies Companies must be offering Islamic Insurance

IMFN Board Total number of Board Members will be at least 7 elected by the General Body Members Two Statuary Committees will be formed –Finance Committee –Audit Committee
