E NGAGING A C AMPUS, S ERVING A C OMMUNITY The University of Texas at Austin Who Are We? The Longhorn Center for Civic Engagement helps train a new generation of civic leaders student volunteerism academic service- learning community- focused leadership training

E NGAGING A C AMPUS, S ERVING A C OMMUNITY The University of Texas at Austin $1.2 million 78% of all student orgs 74% of all students 1000 student organizations just over 350 nearly 1 million report that they volunteer each year at least one time. Most say they volunteer as a member of one of the on campus. Of those 1000 organizations,say they have service as part of their mission. Nearly volunteer, and raised over last year. They are just a portion of the nearly 28,000 undergraduates who chose to give hours last year serving all over the world, and representing the Longhorn community.
