2 Who are we? A Network of 160+ Members  new to the field of aging  are interested in incorporating aging into their jobs Urban planning, social work, the arts, philanthropy, community development, public health and more…

3 to inspire Philadelphians to connect with older adults in their professional and personal lives. to ask our peers –what kind of city do we want to get older in? to serve as a professional support network Our Goals:

4 We accomplish our goals through: Interactive Listserv, website, facebook, twitter Bi-monthly Meetings Public Events Supported Administratively by Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (the Area Agency on Aging)

5 Age-friendly Philadelphia A city where citizens and organizations are committed to improving both the physical and social environments that surround the city’s elders in order to facilitate independence and neighborhood cohesion.

6 Examples of Age-friendly Initiatives Led by GenPhilly Members: The Age-friendly Parks Checklist Senior-friendly Bus Shelters City plans and policies that include seniors Community Gardens & Senior Centers and Housing
