4 Certificate Program Definition Where a person must complete multiple classes (by count of courses, or by # of Hours/CEU’s/Credits earned) in order to receive a “Certificate” Can be courses out of Can be courses out of MANY Can be courses out of Group A and courses out of Group B Courses are generally ALSO available for Open Enrollment

5 Certificate Variations Initial Application/Registration –Does student need to “Apply” for the program? –Is there a Fee to be “in the program”? Criteria for Completion –One Tier ( N out of AA courses )? –Two Tier (N out of AA courses AND Y out of BB Courses) Based on Count of classes taken or Hours/CEU’s? Tracking the “Graduate” – Assign them a Interest Code ( indicating Grad Status) –Register them in a “capstone” course?

18 Specialized Reporting Functions

19 Interest Code Functions ADDINT – Tells you if the students has a specific interest code, and/or the date it was added STAMPINT – Search for participants from a specific course (or group of courses) and place a new Interest Code on their name FINDINT – Query Interest Code from the Registration area

20 Grouping Code Functions FINDGRP – Allows you to query for Grouping Code in any reporting area (that can give you a Course #)

21 Certificate Functions HASCLASS – When reporting a list of Students, returns True/False if a student has taken a particular course GRADREPT – Returns to a report the sum of credits, hours, or ceu’s an individual has earned (within a group of classes)

22 Certificate Functions GRADSPEC – Lists individuals who have taken a specific # of courses (used when certificate requires a specific list of classes) GRADSPEC2 – Lists individuals who have taken a specific # of courses out of one group and a (perhaps different) # of classes from a separate group ( For two tier certificate programs)

23 Certificate Functions GRADCRED – Shows individuals who have completed a specific # of credits, hours or ceu’s, GRADCRED2 – Extension of GRADCRED.
