Monet in his Garden, 1917 On the ‘right bank’ of the river Sienne, 50 miles from Paris, France Monet lived here from 1883 until his death in 1926 He built a large garden where he painted many of his most famous paintings, including Water Lillies and Japanese Bridge Paintings
