1. Family Project Objective: To teach your child about their family history by making a family tree. Directions: You will be provided with brown paper for this project. Have your child lay his or her arm, from elbow to finger tip, on the provided piece of brown paper. Trace your child’s arm, from elbow all the way up his or her fingers and in between each finger. This will be the outline for the tree. Draw or make and attach leaves on the finger tips. Write the names of family members on the leaves and relationship, if possible. You are welcome to add your own stickers, pictures, and/or decorations to your family tree. Due Date: Family trees should be completed by Thursday, September 27 th. You may send your projects before the due date. The students are going to present their family trees. All family trees will be exhibited in the classroom.
