2.  Asthma - This disease of the affects breathing by mucus that runs down the trachea.  It affects the lungs and the airways by the mucus that blocks the airways.  It affects 5 out of 100 people.  In children this disease is rising in numbers.

The think mucus can cause your airways to clog up.  The lungs swell up because of what is causing the asthma attack.  Your smooth muscles in your airways tighten up because of the asthma attack then the airways become smaller.  Symptoms are wheezing, short of breath, coughing, tightening of then chest etc. for everyone it is different.
