ICT in Morocco There are number of institutions that are involved in regulating and setting up policies for the ICT sector: IT Department National Regulatory Agency of Telecom (ANRT) Broadcasting High Authority Ministry of Communication Ministry of Trade and Industry Ministry of Modernization of public sectors

IT Department IT Department (Department in charge of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology) is a government administration unit in charge of developing and implementing policies related to Post and Information Technology. It participates in the conceptualization of general orientations of governmental policies in the field of information technology, telecommunications, posts and network development and prepares government action plan on ITC domains.

Laws Law 24-96: Adopted in 1997, liberalization of telecommunication sector and creation of National Regulatory Agency of Telecom (ANRT). Law 55-01 : Extends universal service to ICT access including Internet.
