About me, Freddie Hi my name is FREEDIE the flax and I am going to tell you some information about flax

SEEDS These seed’s are brown [on left] and brown, golden and yellow [on right].

WEAVING People weave flax to make many things such as bags, mats, clothing and lots more.

Height Of Flax Common flax can grow up to 4 Metres high which is 4 of these.

Attractions Flax attracts native birds such as Bell birds / Korimako and Tui. It also provides great shelter.

Lifecycle The lifecycle goes from the seed to an adult plant then to the flower. The seeds drop to the ground and then the lifecycle will start all over again.

FUN FACTS Flax can be eaten. There are two types of flax – red and green. Flax is native to New Zealand.
