3. Marriage Is Work! All relationships are.
Prov. 17:17 - A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity.
Prov. 27:6 - Faithful are the wounds of a
friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
Vs Iron sharpens iron, and one man
sharpens another.

4. Marriage Is Work! Finding A Good Woman
Prov. 18:22 - He who finds a wife finds a
good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.
Prov. 31:10 - An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.
Vs "Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all."

5. Marriage Is Designed To Bring Glory To God
Gen. 1:27 - So God created man in His own
image, in the image of God He created him;
male and female He created them.
Even perversions of marriage testify to this.
Eph. 5:22, 25 – Commands!

6. Difficulties In Marriage Are A Blessing
James 1:2ff - Count it all joy, my brethren, when
you encounter various trials, for you know that the
testing of your faith produces endurance. But let
endurance have its perfect work, that you may be
perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Gen. 3:16 - To the woman he said, "I will surely
multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall
bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your
husband, and he shall rule over you."

7. Difficulties In Marriage Are A Blessing
The Problem was a “Reversal of Roles.”
Gen. 4:7 - If you do well, will you not be
accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is
crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but
you must rule over it."

8. So What’s The Solution? Col. 3:9-10 - Do not lie to one another,
seeing that you have put off the old self with its
practices and have put on the new self, which
is being renewed in knowledge after the image
of its Creator.
Eph. 4:24 - And put on the new self, created
after the likeness of God in true righteousness
and holiness.

9. So What’s The Solution? REVIVE YOUR MARRIAGE! Deny Self – Mt. 16:24
How did God treat His bride? Hosea 2
Love – Mt. 5:43-48 “Be perfect as your
Heavenly Father is perfect.”
