Selective Admission History First implemented in Fall 1988 Initial requirement of 17 ½ high school units Later added minimum GPA Sliding scale of GPA, units, test scores Increased GPA, test scores over the years Additional ½ unit required for next fall

On-line Admission Application Apply for admission from LSU website Implemented in 1999 Payment by credit card and bank draft Submit essays and scholarship applications Check application status Requests additional information by email Greater than 98% of applicants apply via Web
