How to Login to the ALMS & Launch SSD 1
Login to AKO at Enter your AKO Username and Password or use your CAC to login If you do not use CAC, answer the Knowledge Base Authentication Questions AKO Homepage - click on the “Self Service” Tab Highlight and click on “My Training” link My Training Screen – Click on the “ALMS” Logo ALMS Homepage will be displayed – click on “Current Enrollments” Button My Enrollments Screen – Click on “Launch” link

If you do not use CAC, answer Authentication questions
Click “Submit”

ALMS Homepage Click on “Current Enrollments” Button
Click on the “Current Enrollments” Button. The ALMS will display the My Enrollments screen.

Click “Launch” link After navigating to the My Enrollments page, the learner should click the Launch link to the right of the lesson he/she wishes to view.

Module 1 – Army Writing – Launch Windows
After clicking Launch, the Content and Results page appears. The SSDI lessons launch with two windows – one is a communication window, which should remain open while the lesson is being run; the other is the content window, where the lesson will play.

The first slide of the Introduction section provides the learner with navigation information.

The above is an example of the lesson progress summary slide, visible within each module lesson. When the learner finishes a section of the lesson, the box next to the section name will turn green. The learner can then select the next section to review.

After completing the Check on Learning within a section, the learner is directed to the Check on Learning Summary. After pressing any key, the learner is directed back to the lesson progress summary slide where another selection can be made.

When all sections in a lesson are completed, the learner can navigate forward from the lesson progress summary slide.

My Enrollments – Content and Results
When the learner exits a lesson after completion, the Content and Results page displays the lesson status as Successful. If the learner has not started the lesson, or exited before viewing all slides within the lesson, the status display as Not Evaluated. After completing a lesson, the status changes to “Successful”

Module 2 – Exam – Warning Message
When the learner has completed all lessons within a module, the module record will move to the Transcript. The learner must then take the module exam. The Launch link for the module exam will not be visible/active until the learner has completed the corresponding module. After clicking Launch, the Warning window appears, indicating that the learner must log in with a CAC in order to view the exam.

As each module is completed, it writes to the Transcript
My Transcript screen As each module is completed, it writes to the Transcript After the modules and module exams have been completed, and provided that the learner has achieved a passing score (Successful status), the learner can print a Certificate of Completion from the Transcript page.
