2.  Fillippo Brunelleschi was born in 1377 in Florence, Italy  He was considered to be one of the pioneers of early the early Renaissance  Died in April 15,1446 (age 69) http://www.biography.com/people/filippo- brunelleschi-9229632

3.  Most of Brunelleschi’s early years were a mystery  It is known he was the second of three of three sons and his father was a distinguished notary in Florence.  He initially trained as a goldsmith and sculptor and enrolled in the Arte della Seta, the silk merchants guild.  Around the turn of the century, he was designated a master goldsmith  He then got married to his wife Giuliana Spini in 1401.

5.  His most famous work of architecture was the dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo) in Florence.
