Replacing a Mirror 1.Remove the old mirror from the sink or vanity area using suction cups. 2.Clean the mirror space of any dust or dirt. 3.Inspect the back of the old mirror for scratches or holes. 4.Discard the old mirror in the property Dumpster. 5.Inspect the back of the new mirror for scratches or holes. 6.Measure the new mirror to make sure it will fit in the mirror space. 7.Install the new mirror using mirror adhesive. 8.Check that the mirror hangs evenly. 9.Inspect the new mirror.

Safety First: Replacing Light Bulbs Choose a replacement bulb that is the correct wattage. Turn off the switch before replacing the bulb. Remove by turning counter clockwise. Install by turning clockwise. Handle bulbs gently; never over tighten

Replacing Out-of-Order Television Sets 1.Unscrew the cable wire form the back of the set. 2.Loosen screws or brackets holding the TV in place. 3.Place the TV on a dolly or luggage cart. (Use proper lifting techniques.) 4.Clean away dust or debris form the housing or shelf. 5.Place a new TV onto the shelf or install it onto the wall. 6.Tighten screws 7.Check for clear reception on all channels.

Servicing a Sticking Doorknob 1.Remove screws holding the doorknob in place. 2.Pull the two halves of the doorknob off of the door. 3.Remove screws holding the bolt in place and remove the bolt. 4.Place doorknob parts on a paper towel and spray thoroughly with penetrating oil. 5.Soak doorknob parts in the penetrating oil for several minutes. 6.Wipe doorknob parts clean with a lint-free shop towel and cotton swab. 7.Place doorknob back on the door by reversing the removal steps.

Discuss the steps for replacing a door threshold. 1.Swing the door open as far as it will go 2.Pry the door trim near the threshold loose, if necessary 3.Remove the old threshold 4.Clean out the threshold recess thoroughly making sure to remove all dirt and debris from the area 5.Apply a good coat of caulk to the bottom of the threshold 6.Install the new threshold. If the new threshold came with screws, use the new screws. 7.Replace the door trim if it was removed 8.Secure the threshold and make sure the door opens and closes without striking the threshold. Make sure that the threshold does not hinder passage of a wheelchair across it. 9.Clean the area.

Repairing Damaged Carpet 1.Set up safety barriers. 2.Trim or cut away damaged pieces. 3.Place a new piece of carpet front to back with the damaged piece. 4.Cut the replacement piece to size, using the damaged piece as a pattern. 5.Place new piece where the damaged piece was and trim to exact size. 6.Place carpet seam tape around edge of hole. 7.Hot glue existing carpet and tape. 8.Glue the new piece into place and run a tractor tool across the seam.

Applying Wallpaper 1.Prepare the room 2.Remove existing wallpaper. 3.Prepare the wall 4.Apply new wallpaper. 5.Apply wallpaper around windows and door. 6.Apply wallpaper around corners. 7.Apply wallpaper around electrical outlets. 8.Apply finishing touches.
