7.  DAY 2:  Open to page 50-51 and go over Question of the Week and Amazing Words  Bell Ringer : Talk about the following questions with a partner.  In what ways does a MAYOR show concern for people in his or her community?  Discuss times when you or your family BENEFITED from another’s BOUNTY.  How do you interpret the phrase, “being a good NEIGHBOR”.

BELL RINGER  Officer O’Brien’s PARTICIPATION allow Mother Fletcher to get to the hospital.  How has your PARTICIPATION in an event helped others?  Officer O’Brien may have been uncomfortable with people of different races because he came from a community with little cultural DIVERSIFICATION.  What does the word DIVERSIFICATION mean in your own words?
