1 Mobility zSupport for transnational mobility projects. zAimed at: ypeople undergoing vocational training ythose responsible for training z2 types of project: ytransnational placement projects ytransnational exchange projects

1 Mobility - Transnational Placements If possible: A validation of skills and competences acquired entered in the framework of the European pathways for work linked training, including apprenticeship

1 Mobility - Transnational Exchanges zBetween Undertakings and Vocational training organisations or universities yHuman resources managers in the business sector; vocational training programme planners; managers, particularly trainers and occupational guidance specialists. zBetween Undertakings and Specialised language training establishments, including universities and vocational training bodies yTrainers and mentors in the area of language competences Duration: 1 to 6 weeks

1 Mobility Duration of the projects and community contribution zThe maximum duration for projects is two years. Closing date is 13 Feb 2004 zThe placement or exchange is either 1 week, 3 weeks, 3 months or 9 months in duration. zTransnational placement projects involving SMEs will receive special financial support. zCommunity contribution to placement and exchange projects: maximum 5.000 per beneficiary for a placement or an exchange (this amount corresponds to the maximum duration indicated)

2 Pilot Projects zMain aim: To develop and transfer innovation and quality in vocational training - including actions aiming at the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in vocational training

2 Pilot Projects zProposed actions: ypromote design, development, testing etc of VT products, tools, methods etc. ydevelop the use of ICTs in VT ydevelop new VT tools etc., using ICTs ysupport creation of transnational open & distance learning networks ydesign, test & validate new approaches ydevelop innovative tools for info. & counselling

3 Language Competences zMain aim: To enhance multilingual and multicultural communication in the training and working environment

3 Language Competences zThe following types of projects may receive Community support: yLanguage / communication tools yLearning and / or training tools yDissemination projects *The provision of language courses is not supported

3 Language Competences zLanguage / communication audits: ydesign of diagnostic tools yawareness raising initiatives ytraining tools & methods

3 Language Competences zLearning and / or training tools: ytraining programmes ysystems to assess, validate, recognise ymaterials, approaches & methods ytools to train trainers ylanguage & cultural preparation for mobility

3 Language Competences zDissemination Projects broaden field of application for results of previous vocationally orientated language / intercultural competences projects

3 Language Competences zDistinguishing Features: xproposals must be specifically aimed at a target group in vocational training & reflect the communication and task-orientated performance required in a work situation xproposals must contribute to making enterprises, particularly SMEs aware of the importance of effective communication in a foreign language in a work related environment

3 Language Competences zMaximum duration 3 years zMaximum Community contribution: y75% of eligible expenditure ylimit 200.000 Euros per year per project

3 Language Competences zLanguage Competences within other measures: ymobility ythematic action under pilot projects ytransnational networks yreferences material yNB Proposals must respect the objectives and conditions applying to the measure chosen
