Do God’s Principles of Modest Dress Apply to Men & Woman?
Adam & Eve were both “naked” (gumnos) in their aprons (Gen 3:10). God dressed them both similarly; no double standard (Gen 3:21).

Is Modest Dress a Matter of Opinion or Culture?
God described “naked” as fully or partially exposed before there was a “culture” (Gen 2:25; 3:7-11). God is very explicit: uncovering shoulders, chest, thighs, buttocks & breasts (Gen 3:10; Exo 20:26; Exo 28:42; Isa 20:3-5; Ezek 16:7).

Is Modest Dress a Matter of Opinion or Culture?
“Cultures” & their fashions vary from place to place (1 Cor 11:2-16; 1 Tim 1:3; 2:9), but the principles of God’s word must be respected. “Propriety” – a sense of shame, reserved “Moderation” – sound mind, self-controlled, good judgment “Godliness” – the fear & respect of God
5
What Happens When People Do Not Dress Modestly?
Society becomes more tolerant of nakedness. People get insensitive to sin (Eph 4:17-19). Sexual sins increase (Matt 5:28; Gal 5:19; 1 Cor 6:9). There is no fear of the penalty of sin (Jas 1:14-15). Even the church (Christians) can get hardened by the deceitfulness of sin (Heb 3:13).

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand
“The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, & let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry & drunkenness, not in lewdness & lust, not in strife & envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, & make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts” (Rom 13:12-14).
