The God Head - So You Want Proof? The Gospel Of Mark By Pastor James Groce Edited into PowerPoint by Martyn Ballestero
2
Isa. 40:3. Jesus is Jehovah. Mark 1:2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. Mark 1:3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Is. 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
3
Why doesn't the Holy Ghost have any say? Mark 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
4
Spirit? Is this the Father? Mark 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
5
Who was the Father? Matt. 1:18, 20 Mark 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matt. 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Matt. 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
6
What about the Holy Ghost? Can he forgive sins? Mark 2:7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
7
Son of God or God the Son? Mark 3:11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
8
Does this include blasphemy against the Father? Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
9
Did the devil know about the Holy Ghost? Mark 5:7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
10
What about the glory of the Holy Ghost? Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
11
Did Peter know about the Trinity? What about tabernacles to the Father and Holy Ghost? Mark 9:5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
12
Who spoke? Holy Ghost? Mt. 1:18, If not, why is he missing here? Mark 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. Matt. 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
13
Did the Son and Holy Ghost not send him? Mark 9:37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
14
One God! Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
15
Notice to sit on JESUS right hand and left! I thought Jesus was on the right hand! Mark 10:40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
16
What is the name of the Lord? Mark 11:9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: Mark 11:10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
17
Holy Ghost doesn't forgive sins? Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
18
Jesus believed in One God! Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. Mark 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
19
One God! None but He! 12:35-37… Where is the Holy Ghost? Does this mean the Son was bumped from the throne? See OT visions. No sign of the Son on right hand. Acts 7:55-56 is only place. See. Rev. 4:2-3 Mark 12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
20
Father and Son will not help us? What about Matt. 16:17 Father act out of turn? Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
21
Mark goes thru the list of possible candidates to know, but omits the Holy Ghost! Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
22
Why not pray the Holy Ghost? Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
23
Where are the Father and Holy Ghost? Mark 14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
24
How can God sit at God's right hand? Co-equal? Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
25
The Bible is not a complete history book. It does give enough to know that Jesus is the Christ, and that by believing you can have life in his name! What about the Father's name? The Holy Ghost? Does it give enough to believe in a Trinity? In light of the many questions Jesus raises here, the reader should be left with one answer! Jesus was not the "second person" in a Trinity, but he was the manifestation of the One and Only True God! The One Eternal Spirit who spoke in different ways. In light of the Evidence, when you know Jesus you know the One True God!
