2  A subject is the person or thing that is or does something.  A verb is the action that the subject performs in the sentence.

3  Whether the verb is singular or plural determines if it is the action of a group or a single thing.  If the verb is singular it will end in “t”  If the verb is plural it will end in “nt”

4  Look at the subject and verbs 1. Cornelia et Flavia in agris currunt. Cornelia and Flavia run into the fields. -the subject is plural because there are two people and the verb is plural because it ends in nt.
