1. Brewers Trip to Cincinnati Mr. Goes

2. Travel We will be driving to Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. It will take 7 hrs 10 min to cover the 438 miles per mapquest.com

3. Travel We will be driving a 2009 Mazda 5. The Mazda 5 gets 24 miles per gallon. It has a 14 gallon tank. We filled up in Sheboygan.We will need to stop every 300 miles to be safe. We will stop outside of Indianapolis at a Speedway/Subway. $32 for gas in Sheboygan, $28 for gas in Indy= $60 gas to Cincy. 1.99 for gas outside of Gary IN. $28 Total gas $88

4. Getting around The first day, we will be driving right to Great American Ball Park and parking in the stadium lot. According to Reds.com, parking is $10. The next two days, we will walk from our hotel to the park. We will drive a total of 60 miles to play golf the next two days. That will be the only time we will need our vehicle.

5. Lodging

6. We will be staying at the Comfort Suites hotel in Newport Kentucky. This is right across the Ohio River from the ball park. The rate was $181 a night, however, my buddy used his frequent user card to get us the room for $99 a night. It has a free breakfast, free Wi-fi and a shuttle service to the ball park for us and a fitness center.

8. Attractions Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Games. 7pm Thursday and Friday, 6pm Saturday. Tickets- $30 bleachers (ticket office); $40 5 rows behind 1 st base dugout (stubhub); $25 upper deck (stubhub). Golf Devou Park Golf Course- $30 per round- did Friday and Saturday.

9. Attractions Newport on the Levee- An Entertainment/shopping/Dining district. Located ½ mile from hotel.

12. Summary We did a lot of planning for this trip. We bought tickets on Stubhub before the Friday and Saturday games well before we went. We bought tickets on Thursday at the ticket office because we did not know if we would get there in time. We paid well below face value on stubhub. We picked the golf courses on the way down and made tee times. Newport on the levee is generally expensive. However we researched the best food/drink deals for Thursday after game. We also ran into 3 Brewers players that night. Outside of golfing, everything was within walking distance so that was nice not having to battle traffic or pay for parking. My buddy getting us the hotel deal was great as well.
