3 Lesson Overview For today’s lesson we are learning characteristics of living and non-living things, and we will see how the two compare to one another. We will determine differences and similarities between the two. Students will view slides of information and pictures to learn about living and non-living things, they will sort through pictures and answer series of questions throughout the Power Point. After students have finished information in the slide show, we will have a review at the end for questions or comments before the in class assessment. NEXT BACK

12 LIVING THINGS - A living things needs water, food, air, and shelter in order to survive, living things are plants or animals. -Living things grow and change over time, they also eat food or take in nutrients from the soil. -Living things need water and space to grow and change. -Living things produce other things that look similar to them. If something doesn’t need the THREE basic things of water, air and food then it is non- living!
