Learning Management System Overview
This overview will demonstrate the structure of the LMS including: Course Hierarchy User Roles Reports

The LMS Structure All site administration can easily be found on the home page/site administration box. Course Hierarchy categories, courses, topics User Roles administrators, instructors, students Reports User, course, grades

Course Hierarchy - Categories
The course categories can be established by location, area, subject or any other training requirement. They can include as many sub categories as required and can be modified as needed.

Select add/edit courses New categories and sub categories are easily added or re-assigned to other categories

Course Hierarchy - Courses
Courses can be established by subject, employee position, production line, type of training or any other learning requirement.

Course Hierarchy – Topics
The Topics can be by Task Qualification or by subject as in this case. Topics can link to training resources such as web pages, document management systems, knowledge portals or content can be created within this page. Topics can also include a wide variety of activities such as quizzes, assignments, glossaries, forums, or databases .

User Roles The three user levels we will view are:
Administrator Instructor Student User levels and profiles can be added/modified to customize access or permissions throughout the system

Roles: The Administrator sets up the software

Roles: The Instructor can edit courses
Editing is turned on Activities that can be added to course topics All course administration Resources that can be added to course topics

Roles: The Students can access their courses

Reports The main reports that we will look at are: Student Grade
Qualification Logs/Audit Trail Detailed Reports by Student

The Instructor can see the student grades for each lesson

The Instructor and Management can see which employees are Qualified for each Position
Comments and custom grades can be added by selecting the grade In this example, R=restrictions, C=complete, I=incomplete

Logs/Audit Trail: All activity in the system is tracked
