6. The focus of this lesson is the use of Web Browsers and how to configure them safely. What is a Web browser?

7. A Web Browser is… ….a piece of software that enables your computer to display web pages correctly. Web pages are written in a code called HTML, which looks like this: A Browser translates this code into a web page that you can see and understand.

10. An IP address is a number that is used to identify each computer that is connected to the internet. Each time you use the internet, your computer leaves a digital footprint. This footprint is almost impossible to eradicate completely!

12. Browser History Your browser keeps a record of all the sites you visit. This can be very useful.

14. Because of the Computer Crime Laws here in Thailand, the school has to keep a log of all the sites visited by everybody who uses the network. The network keeps a log of every user: When you log on and off Which computer(s) you use Which sites/pages you visit YOUR ISP DOES THIS TOO!
