Talk a lot, usually about a favorite subject. (One-sided conversations, Internal thoughts verbalized.) Have delayed motor development. Learn about the disease. Provide a supportive and loving environment. Give the child a daily routine for meals, homework, bedtime. Give them specific rules, causes less stress. Teach them by being verbal and a straightforward manner. Use Visual supports: schedules and other written materials that serve as organizational aids. Don’t expect them to act their age, they mature slower. Encourage the child to be social.
