AUTHOR YOUR LIFE WITH A GOAL SETTING
2
Personal Legacy Our personal legacy is a continued impact of everything we do in our lives Each of us through a combination of vision and goals live a legacy. We are always creating our own legacy, whether it is intentional or accidental, a gift or circumstance. We need to understand our personal power in this world and how our choices impact everything around us. It is our work to discover who we are, what we came here to do, and then do our very best to remain true to ourselves and the personal legacy we wish to create. Part of our personal responsibility in creating our legacy is to examine the internal voice inside our heads and make sure we are listening to accurate information, and actively choosing to live above the line. Are you living a legacy that you are proud of and world changing?

The power of knowing what you want
It is all too common that people focus on what they don’t want in their lives instead of getting clear about what they do want. It is essential to create this clarity before writing a vision and goals. Take out a blank piece of paper and Draw a big circle. Inside of the circle, write all of the things, ideas and feelings you want in your life. Outside the circle, write anything you don’t want in your life. As you start to revisit your goal setting, be sure to come up with things that satisfy the ideas represented from inside your circle. Create a vision board of images you are attracted to.
4
What is goal? A goal is a written measurable statement with specific subject and deadline. A goal is a milestone in creation of your ideal life A goal is what inspires you to do the work every day

What stops us from setting goals?
Fear of failure: Writing powerful goals can be very intimidating. It means that you have to go out on a limb and make a commitment. Commitment for many of us is a very scary consideration. Why? Commitment sets us up equally for failure and success. Many of us fear failure so much that we subconsciously sabotage our attempts to plan success. I don’t deserve it or lack of trust in ourselves It won’t work

Why Set Goals? Why do I really set goals?
Learn to fail – encourages entrepreneurship. Making mistakes as I work towards something builds a foundation for apparent risk taking Training the subconscious Allowing me to identify what do I want and how I want to feel when I’ve achieved something Maximize our purpose in life. Live life to its fullest potential. Focus on the goals we want to achieve so that our subconscious can work on them for us. The mind only listens to actions. “Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.” (You probably will). People take goal coaching very seriously. Goal coaching should be FUN! Bring that fun. So I wake up every single day and love my life

…ctd Setting goals allows me to be free from always thinking about my future You are in control of your life. Who do you want your life to be lived by? Setting goals allows you to live in the present because you are confident in your direction and vision. You are confident that you are getting what you asked for.
8
Write your vision Allow yourself to travel 5,10,20 years in to the future What year is it? How old are you? How do you feel in your body? What are you seeing, tasting? What does it smell like? Who are you with? Remove some negative images or pictures that no longer serve your highest interests. Write your vision for the future unconstrained by the past

Tips for writing powerful goals
Always write goals in the first person and present tense- as though they have already been achieved. Use clear, specific words that demonstrate commitment. The mind likes a specific number, include them in your goals. Allow yourself to see pictures of your life. Ask yourself what kind of world you would like to experience and what your role is in it. Always write goals in the affirmative. Always include a timeline with each goal. Begin with three domains. Examples are Personal, Health, Career, etc.
10
SMART Goals Powerful goals are trickle back from your vision to the present day. What is required for you to achieve your 10-year vision? Goal setting is a plotting of a timeline plan of action to make it happen. Now write SMART goals. SMART is an acronym for: Specific Be clear and specific about your goal Instead of writing: “I lose weight.” Write: “I weigh 170lbs.” Measurable If you can’t measure it, it is difficult to achieve Instead of writing: “I am running regularly.” Write: “I am running 5 kilometers 3 times a week.”
11
….ctd Ambitious Go for it. Write a goal that excites and challenges you. Failure teaches you to be successful. Realistic Is this goal feasible, given our conditions? Do we want to challenge this? Timely Write a specific date so when the time comes, you can check completion of the goal Instead of writing: “I open a school in my community.” Write: “I open a school in my community by December 2011.”

Vision and Goal Setting Brian Tracy’s 7 Questions:
What are the 5 things you value most in life? In 30 seconds or less, write down the 3 most important goals in your life right now. What would you do if you won $1 million? What would you do if you only had 6 months left to live in perfect health? What have you always wanted to do but have been afraid to attempt? In looking back at all the things you’ve done, what gives you your greatest feeling of importance? What one great thing would you dare to dream if you knew you could not fail?
13
As soon as you are able to write your goals, you will join among the top 0.3% of all human beings. Because most people don’t do it. They have thought and think about goal or what they want, yet because they don’t take time and have no courage to bring pen to paper; they are not able to have the result of people do that.
14
After Goal setting Look for a goal coaching from people who know you very well and love you Have it in somewhere where you have a chance to look at it everyday( like in washroom, office, bedroom, etc) Honor your word Review your goals periodically(preferably every season) Check off the goal achieved
