3. At Dartford Grammar School for Girls, we have been going on a year 9 Paris Trip for 17 years and have had positive feedback every time. It is a great way to show the students how the French way of life is and also gives them a chance to learn a bit more French by conversations with locals. The trip will be held over 5 days, leaving on Monday 14 th May to Thursday 17 th. Over the 5 days we will be going to many famous places in Paris to give the students an opportunity of a lifetime. The trip is for those that exceeded in French over the years achieving the highest grades in the year. We congratulate students on this and are very proud of each and every one of them. Eight of our first aid trained teachers will accompany the students on the trip.

4. Students need to be at school at 6am and we will be swiftly leaving. We aim to be on the ferry at 7 am and in France by 9:30 the latest. From here we will drive to the hotel and hopefully be there for 11am. On the first day that we arrive in France we will be taking a coach to take us to the main part of Paris. Students will also be able to go to a few shops to get any gifts for family or anything they wish to purchase. In the evening we will be doing activities based on the sights seen in groups and will continue this work over 2 evenings. Each group will present their work and there will be a winner in the end.

5. On the second day we will be going Eiffel Tower. This will be in the afternoon. In the morning the students must be awake by 6:30 and ready by 8:00, including eating breakfast and tidying rooms. We will continue with evening activities (that were started on day 1) until ready for the Eiffel Tower in the afternoon. Once we’ve returned from this, different activities for the students to do will be done.

6. On the third day we will be going on the Seine River Cruise. We will be on the cruise for 2 hours and lunch will be afterwards. Evening and late afternoon activities involve the girls work from over the last couple of nights. A winner will be nominated by a vote from the students and they will win a souvenir of their choice from France. Dinner is next and after it will be time for bed. Lights out at 10:30 and if disobeyed consequences of cleaning the corridors will be given. So make sure they are out and it is quiet!

7. On the last day, we will be going to Parc Asterix. However in the morning the students need to make sure their rooms are immaculate as a room inspection will take place. Students must make sure everything is in their suitcase packed away. We will be leaving for Parc Asterix at 8am and will not return to the hotel after. We will leave at 6:30pm and get food on the way (£10 given between 3 people). Finally we will return to school at 9:30pm ready to be picked up.

8. The prices for this trip involve an equal spread for each student based on all activities and extras.
