8 Vowel Sounds Can you think of any verbs in the past which contain these sounds? Make a list.

10 Air Travel I have flown many times around Europe. I have never really had any problems. Except one time. I was flying from Dresden, in Germany, to Newcastle in the UK. I had to change planes in Düsseldorf. It had been snowing quite heavy before take-off, so there was a bit of delay. When I arrived at Düsseldorf, where it had also been snowing, we were so delayed that I had to run to the next gate to catch my plane. Of course, my luggage wasn’t transferred in time. In fact, for some strange reason my luggage was sent to Barcelona! I had to wait 3 days until I got it back… 

11 What about you? Have you ever had any problems when travelling – it doesn’t have to be by plane, it could be by train, car or ship. If you have never had any problems, perhaps you could be creative and think up a problem. Make some notes. When you are ready, tell your partners about what happened.

12 Thank You! End of lesson
