2. Thesis  Abortion should be illegal because of the medical,emotional & physical effects and the cost.

Medical  Period should return about 4-6 weeks after the abortion  Can get pregnant again soon after the abortion  Approximately 1 out of every 50 late term abortions, be aware of death damage to other organs & heavy or persistent bleeding  If you have had an abortion, call a doctor & seek medical attention if you have a fever above 100.4*F and foul smelling discharge

Emotional  Young women is associated with increased risk of major depression, anxiety disorder, & suicidal behaviors  After abortion, women may experience anger, flashback, guilt, grief & relationship problems  Abortion reported more frequent problems sleeping, more frequent marijuana use, & psychological counseling when compared to who give birth

Physical  The center of Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) have received report of the deaths of 386 women from legal abortion between 1973  Physical complications include injury, bleeding, serious infection, pain, & incomplete abortion  Since 2000 at least 8 women had died from Ru-486 due to hemorrhage & infection

Cost  In 2009 the median charge for a surgical abortion at 10 weeks gestation was $470  Since most U.S women obtain abortions at facilities with lower charges, the average amount paid was $451  In your first trimester cost around $300-$950  In your second trimester can cost up to as much as $3,000
