Designed by the Community for the Community Putting the “public” back into “public education” Iowa BIG was created by the community and through the community building effort of The Gazette Companies and The Cedar Rapids Community School District. The core design principles are: Using student passion to drive deep learning and deliver core academic credits Engaging students in authentic community projects, problems, and opportunities Connecting them more deeply to the people and resources of the Corridor.
