2. Take a test!
Directions
You have a 5 minute time limit to complete the parts of this test.
Carefully read all of the parts of the test before doing anything.
In order to ensure the accuracy of this exam, you should not use more than the allotted time of 5 minutes.
You may begin whenever you choose. Good Luck!!

3. How Well Can You Follow Directions?
Test Results The only writing you should have on your test paper is the word December and your name.  
It should be located in the top left hand corner of the page.
The directions specifically state to read all parts before doing anything. If you didn't do this, I suggest you do it now!!!

4. What Makes This Test Easy To Pass?
Reading all directions carefully before beginning a test will save you time.
Read slowly and carefully.
Rereading the directions will help you to understand more clearly.

5. Think about trying the following ideas
Take one direction at a time.
Think about it until you understand exactly what you are being asked to do.
Highlight important words
Be sure that you know what each words means in the direction.

6. Let’s look at the directions again!

At this point, please pass out the test for students to begin when they are ready. See attached word document for test.

7. Giving Directions
If you are giving directions, it is important to be specific and give enough information so that the reader understands.
Activity= in 5 minutes, write directions telling me how to make a cracker and cheese sandwich.

8. Try again
Use the picture you are given to give your partner directions on how to draw a picture.
Do not tell your picture what the finished product should be.
Do not show your partner your picture.

9. Ordering Directions
On T-CAP, you will have to put directions in order. Try ordering these.

10. How to bake a cake
Mix the eggs, flower, and sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
Read the recipe.
Gather all the ingredients needed for the cake and put them together.
Pour the mixture into a large cake pan.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Read the recipe again while measuring the ingredients to make sure you are measuring correctly.
Ice the cake and enjoy eating it.
Take the cake out of the oven to cool
Bake the cake for 20 minutes or until golden brown

11. How to bake a cake Read the recipe.
