Grade 11– Students 1. Complete the Personal Survey on Naviance 1. Before your first meeting with counselor 2. Set up one-on-one meeting(s) with counselor and family 3. Research, research, research! 1. Your process, your timeline, your responsibility. 2. Your final list of colleges/universities must be a thoughtful one. 4. Request teacher recommendations 5. Grade 12 – Students Complete on-line application forms UCAS, OUAC, Common App, UC’s, etc. LIMIT of 10 Total Applications across all countries, in 1 application cycle Write personal statement & supplemental essays Standardized tests Register by the deadline Request that official scores are sent by College Board, TOEFL, IB, etc. Remind teachers of recommendations ( min. 1, max. 2 ) For all countries – may need for accommodations, internships, work experience Additional, if applicable: Provide previous schools’ official transcript Submit financial documents 22 January 2014

Open communication is key to lowering stress of this process Pay application fees and testing fees Complete and submit financial paperwork on their behalf Remember – this is your student’s process! 22 January 2014
