Since September 2013;54 WHHS students have been enrolled in TOP Sessions meet 1-2 times a week Curriculum guided discussions and activities(classroom time) 20+ hours of Community Service Learning

Nationally-replicated youth development approach aimed at preventing teen pregnancy, and helping young people make consistent progress in school Guided classroom discussions and meaningful service learning Evidence-based, Tier-1 teen pregnancy prevention program (CT DSS, US OAH)

15-17 year olds, - curriculum focuses on healthy behavior in the context of romantic relationships, exploration of values, goal setting and assertiveness

CSL=academic goals+ personal growth+ civic responsibility Engages students directly in the issues and needs of their community Community service/volunteering vs. CSL: the “learning” component
