2. Building Canada’s National Public Cord Blood Bank The Campaign “For All Canadians” has been set in motion to raise funds to help build a National Public Cord Blood Bank. This new system will collect and store stem cells from umbilical cord blood donations and will better the chances for patients to find a perfect donor match.

3. At any given moment, approximately 1,000 patients are waiting for a life-saving match, and about only 50% of these patients will receive that life-changing call, that a match has been found. Canada’s National Public Cord Blood Bank is going to save an endless number of lives. And we can be part of this amazing crusade!

4. We can support families like Gabe’s… Gabe was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2010. A life-changing event not only for him, but also his family and community. Gabe’s condition is complicated by a genetic deformity that can cause a relapse at any time. If he does relapse, to survive he will need a stem cell transplant. The National Cord Bank will better Gabe’s chances of finding the perfect match.
