Installing Electrical – Power Duplex outlet (supplies power to rooms) –House electrical - interior Spaced no more than 12’ apart (including garage) Required on the walls 2’ or longer between doors Walls between 10’-12’ require at least two outlets Spaced no more 4’ apart over counter in kitchen –House electrical - exterior A Weather Proof (WP) outlet is required on each wall GFCI (Ground-fault circuit interrupter) protection from electrical shock –KITCHEN –All outlets (except refrigerator) –BATH – all outlets –Also required in garage and unfinished basements

Installing Electrical - Lighting Lighting- General –Each room requires a light controlled by a switch –Light switch must be on the handle side of the door –More than two entrances/exits require a Three Way switch –Split Wire Outlets are controlled by a switch Task Lighting –Task lighting required for: kitchen sinks (own light switch) bathroom sinks (own light switch) Lighting- Exterior –Light required for all exterior doors

Electrical Design Drawing a Polyline –Select Draw from the menu toolbar –Select Polyline –Click on the switch that you want to control the light

Electrical Design Once the line is made click on Modify, then Object and lastly click Polyline Next click on the line and then hit “F” (fit) then Enter
