Aim of the session To describe how the geography of Furness influences how we deliver health services to people and communities across the locality To explain Furness from a health perspective To explore how social, physical and mental health services can work more closely together to improve experiences and health outcomes for people and communities in Furness

Furness Health The health of people in Furness is mixed Deprivation is higher than the national average Smoking related deaths in Barrow are higher than the national average Alcohol related deaths in Furness are higher than the national average Over the past 10 years - decrease in death rates in cancer, heart disease and stroke
