5. The Parliament Building The Houses of Parliament are the seat of the British government.

6. Big Ben-the Clock Tower Big Ben is the name of the huge clock in the Houses of Parliament. The minute hand is 14 feet long, the hour hand is 9 feet.

7. Buckingham Palace It is the London home of the Queen. When the flag is flying on the top she is at home.

8. Westminster Abbey It is a historic building and a royal church. The Abbey was founded in the 11 th century.

9. A View of Trafalgar Square The centre of London is Trafalgar Square. It was laid out in memory of Lord Nelson’s victory in the Battle of Trafalgar.

10. The National Gallery The National Gallery has a collection of Italian, Dutch, German and French pictures.
