Marco Polo’s Life -His journey around the world -Marco Polo was born on September 15 th, 1254 and died on January 8 th 1324.

Where Marco Polo lived Marco Polo lived in Venice, Italy until he was 17 and after he was 41. He traveled through China, India, and Southwest Asia.

Why Marco Polo’s Famous Marco Polo become famous for his journey in Central Asia and China. Marco Polo was one of the first Europeans to travel to Mongolia and China.

Five Interesting Facts About Marco Polo In 1271, the Polo’s crossed the Mediterranean Sea. The Polo’s returned from China with many riches from their trip. Marco Polo wrote a book that introduced many Europeans to the country of China. When the Polo’s arrived in Venice from their trip, the city was at war with Genoa. When the Polo’s returned home Genoese captured and jailed Marco Polo, but in 1299 he was freed from the jail.

A fascination of Marco Polo We think that Marco Polo would be fascinated by the Printing Press because he wrote a book about his journey and wanted to share it with others. This is what we think Marco Polo would be fascinated by.
