3 UK Insurance Industry The UK insurance industry is a vital part of the UK economy, managing investments amounting to 26% of the UK’s total net worth and contributing £10.4 billion in taxes to the Government. It Employs around 290,000 people in the UK alone The insurance industry is also one of this country’s major exporters, with 28% of its net premium income coming from overseas business. The UK insurance industry is the third largest in the world and the largest in Europe.

10 AXA Personal Lines AXA Personal Lines – offers Motor, Home, Travel, Warranty and Pet insurance products direct to customers using both the Swiftcover and AXA brands as well as working with other companies to meet the insurance needs of their customers. Our existing partners include Sainsbury’s, M&S, John Lewis, Northern Rock, RSPCA and TUI. AXA Personal Lines has over six million policies in place and ambitious targets to grow by selling more products through whatever channel the customer wants – be that directly, through brokers or through corporate partners. Over the last couple of years we’ve gone from being two separate and distinct businesses (AXA & Swiftcover) to one new business and we are bringing the best bits of those businesses into our future. It’s an exciting time to join and we need people who are proactive and pragmatic and who thrive on taking responsibility in a fast-paced environment.

AXA Commercial Lines “A unique business in the insurance sector. It is comprised of four separate divisions: Intermediary, Direct, Claims & Underwriting and Bluefin Insurance Services. These all offer commercial insurance solutions or expert advice to customers” Bluefin “Bluefin is an independent insurance broker and wealth management adviser employing around 1500 people at 45 offices around the UK.
