2. The objectives of this VI is to clarify the basic calculations of electric consumptions. Specifically the following: 1. To determine the energy consumption cost of each of the four basic appliances television, lights, electric fan and computer. 2. To know the total kilowatt/hour in monthly basis. 3. To know the total cost of electric consumption with the current generation charge.

4. 1. Open LabVIEW>Create Project.

6. 2. After placing the Knobs, Numeric Control, Numeric Indicator and Stop Button in the Front Panel, terminal icons will appear in the Block Diagram. Functions are placed based on the desired condition and Wire/Connect Wire is used to connect the following terminals.

7. 4. After placing the Knobs, Numeric Control, Numeric Indicator and Stop Button and placed the correct wiring, enclose it in a While Loop.

8. RESULTS AND INTERPRETATION

9. The output of the program displays the value of the computed value every kilowatt/hr of the appliances and its total cost. Note that negative values are also considered as positive because of the absolute value placed in the VI.

11. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

12. We therefore conclude that this VI helps us to compute the electric consumptions of the four basic appliances. This gives us knowledge to conserve energy every time we use electricity. It also provides us an idea on how to save money related to the constructed program.
