Apply to 4-year colleges/universities Naviance Application/essays/deadlines Submit fees Check resume/self-assessment Send SAT/ACT scores, if applicable Transcript, 5 stamps required for non-electronic submissions Rank forms and Release of records requests must be on file

Create account Add Colleges via “College Search” tab Complete FERPA –via “Dashboard” Complete all other demographic information (including a list of all classes in which student is currently enrolled) Upload Essay/Personal Statement Review and submit application via “My Colleges” Match Common App with Naviance account

For Division 1 or 2 athletes only Create “new account” at eligibilitycenter.org Complete all demographic information— follow steps on site Complete “About Me”, “My Courses” and “My Sports” Pay $75 fee or complete fee waiver Request transcript under “My Task List” and check “official transcript needed”

Scholarships/Financial Aid: Check Naviance, www.fastweb.com, scholarships.com, finaid.org for scholarships and other funding opportunities www.fastweb.com Watch for winter Financial Aid Workshop Apply for a PIN (parents and students) at www.pin.ed.gov www.pin.ed.gov After January 1, 2015, apply for financial aid at fafsa.ed.gov Complete college/university financial aid forms and/or CSS profile

Students Apply online—complete FERPA waiver, essays, EOF questionnaires, etc. Request recommendations Submit application processing form, rank option, transcript release form, resume, self-assessment and stamps to your school counselor Have SAT and/or ACT scores sent directly to colleges Parents—remain supportive, check intermitently, start gathering paperwork for financial aid applications
